“The place that you own, that you know so well, better than anyone else. Your space, your sanctuary, your… diviad.”

This is David Olufowora. Growing up between contrasting environments for the majority of his life, South-East London is where he found most of his inspiration for his early works, whilst exploring the contrasting environment of Central London. He understood from this experience that not everything is black and white, but shades of the same grey.

Now maturing in his photography and his purpose of embracing his divide (“diviad”), he looks to take on new challenges within visual and contemporary spaces — fusing old techniques used by the greats with fresher, newly learnt techniques from the innovative. The aim is to create a world for people to escape into, focusing on nothing but the current moment, the present.

Presence is everything.
